‘Madharaasi’ Satellite Rights Sold for a Whopping Price

After the setback of Sikandar, director AR Murugadoss is eyeing a strong comeback with his upcoming action drama Madharaasi. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, with Rukmini Vasanth playing his romantic interest.

The trailer, which dropped last night, has already started creating positive buzz among audiences, raising expectations for the film. Industry circles believe that with the right word of mouth, Madharaasi could turn into a winner at the box office.

On the business front, the makers have already scored big. Amazon Prime Video has bagged the digital streaming rights, while ZEE channel has acquired the satellite rights, ensuring hefty pre-release deals for the production house.

The movie is all set for a grand theatrical release on September 5, 2025, across multiple languages.

Adding to the excitement, Vidyut Jammwal takes on the role of the antagonist, while the ensemble cast also includes Biju Menon, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Vikranth, and others in key roles. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the project is bankrolled by Sri Lakshmi Movies.
