Madhavan who started his career as a chocolate boy has come a long way since his 'Alaipayudhey' days and today is one of India's most versatile actors who dedicates himself to any role he does.  His recent films have all been critically acclaimed and box office hits that include 'Irudhti Suttru' and 'Vikram Vedha'.

The hot buzz in Tollywood is that Maddy has been finalized as the main villain in Allu Arjun's upcoming mega flick 'Pushpa' directed by Sukumar.  Vijay Sethupathi signed on for this role of a ruthless forester earlier but had to opt out due to scheduling conflicts and it is now said that his 'Vikram Vedha' costar is on board and the official announcement will come soon.

'Pushpa' planned as a multilingual film in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi has Alllu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead pair with Jagapathy Babu, Prakash Raj, Harish Uthaman, Vennela Kishore, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Anish Kuruvilla.

Maddy has since denied that he is acting in 'Pushpa' and has put a full stop to the buzz surrounding his attachment to the project in Tollywood media.

Meanwhile, Maddy's new film 'Silence' co-starring Anushka, Anjali and Shalini Pandey will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on October 2nd.
