High Court decision on arrest warrant against Suriya and others

Leading Tamil stars Suriya, Sathyaraj, Sarathkumar, Arun Vijay, Vivekh, Vijayakumar, Cheran and Sri Priya faced a nonbailable arrest warrant issued by a Nilgiris Court for not appearing before the court for a 2009 case against them for alleged derogatory statements against press persons.
The stars sought intervention from the Madras High Court which has passed an interim order to the Nilgiris Court asking it not to execute the nonbailable warrant against the eight stars. That is a huge relief for all those concerned in the case.
