Maha Nadigan
Sathyaraj has acted in many satirical movies before and won applause for it. Mahanadigan is satire to the core and after this there will be no subject that has not touched says Sathyaraj. The film is all about an ordinary small time actor coming to politics and getting to the Chief Minister's chair. Sathyaraj said that the credit goes to producer Murugan who is boldly funding it even though the film has a sensitive subject. The film has Sathyaraj along with Mumtaz and Namitha to sizzle on screen. Mumtaz who acted with Sathyaraj in Malabar Police and Ennama Kannu has lost weight and slimmed down a lot.
Rajkapur plays a very controversial character. "I am sure to get brickbats" says Rajkapur. Ramesh Kanna who usually plays comedian role is now playing a character in the film. Manoj Kumar son of Bharathiraja plays an important role and is paired opposite Mallika of Autograph fame. Says Manoj "Initially I was tensed to act with a senior actor but Sathyaraj sir put me at ease. He would even offer me some of his punch dialogues".
Shakti Chidambaram who directed Sathayraj in Ennama Kannu feels that the film has created lot of expectations in the public and nobodu other than Sathyaraj could play this role to perfection. Mallika said that it was her dream come true to act in Sathyaraj film since her mother was his fan.
Deva said that the opening song which introduces Sathyaraj had all negative thoughts about the hero."Except for using bad words the song shows him in bad light and it was his broad mindedness that has made him accept it" said Deva.
Mumtaz on her part said that whenever she felt a slide in her career happened Deva helped her. Kattipudi song in Khushi and Malay Malay song in Chocklet boosted her career and she felt that the same would happen with Mahanadigan.
It was the turn of Sathyaraj . "Manoj and Mallika have done a brilliant job. In fact the Mallika we saw in Autograph is very different in this film. Rajkapur is different and so also Ramesh Kanna. Shakti Chidambaram is ready with dialogues that will get claps. Each and every scene will be a big hit. I think this film will be a benchmark for satire films" felt Sathyaraj.
Cinematography by Suresh Devan, the film has P Vasu, TP Gajendran, Alex, Chitra Lakshmanan, Manobala, Vinu Chakravarthy, Illavarasu along with producers M Khaja Moiden, Gananvel and Chainraj Chain in important roles. Sundari films produce the film.
