Mahanati biopic: A tribute of a poster

Mahanati Savitri's biopic is very much ready to be launched. Marking Women's Day today, Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema have released two separate posters for the Telugu and Tamil versions. Keerthy Suresh is playing Savitri, while Samantha has a key role, a role set in contemporary times and through whom the life and times of the yesteryear screen diva is narrated.

In Tamil, where the Mahanati is fondly called as Nadigaiyar Thilagam Savithri, the film has been no less much-written about. Nag Ashwin seems to be out to tell a new-age biopic.

Tharalanu nirminche sthree jathi kosam.. Tharatharalu garvinche Mahanati Savithri katha, is meant to be a tribute to one of the most popular woman celebrities in India's history.

More details about the project will be revealed soon by the makers.
