Maharshi is biggest non-Baahubali release: Dil Raju

Dil Raju has once again said that 'Maharshi' will become one of the best movies in Mahesh Babu's career.  Catch him talk about the scale of the release on May 9th, the ticket hike controversy and more.

A top league film

'Maharshi' is not just about good performances, etc.  It has got several special features.  Even if this wasn't my film, I would have had the same confidence about its phenomenal success.  It will be in the league of Mahesh Babu's great movies.

May 9th has got magic, thanks to 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' and 'Mahanati'.  I wish my fellow producers all the best.

Vamshi will be on the top

Vamshi Paidipally will become one of the top most directors tomorrow.  Writers Hari-Solomon, actors such as Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj garu, Jayasudha garu, and the technicians have given their best shot to create a magical film.  I am not over-confident.

Early shows granted

'Maharshi' is magical.  Nine out of ten times, my predictions have come true.  The Telangana government has granted permission for five shows per day.  Many theatres in the State will have 8am shows tomorrow.  In Hyderabad, 18 theatres will have early shows at 8am.

That's why inflated ticket prices

There is some confusion over the ticket prices.  Single screens and multiplexes in Telangana have done so on the basis of a court order.  When the budget is high and the stakes are huge, exhibitors can inflate prices for one week.  Maximum revenue has to be generated in the first week itself.  Everyone wants to limit the ill effects of piracy.

Biggest non-Baahubali release

We are going in for a huge release.  We are releasing the movie in the highest number of theatres after the 'Baahubali' movies.  Online bookings are extraordinary.  Last-minute additions of screens will be made.  As for revenue, I will talk about it later.

Speculations on budget

Only I and my partners know the film's budget.  Let the media write whatever they want to.  How much has been spent on the film, what are the extra costs (read interest, etc) are known only to me.  Costs were huge for 10 months but you won't find the expenditure on the screen.
