As per the makers of 'Maharshi', the film's teaser has created new records in Telugu cinema by shattering the existing ones. It was released on Saturday to mark Ugadi.

"We are glad to announce that the teaser clocked 10 million views on YouTube alone in less than 12 hours. The teaser for 'Bharat Ane Nenu' had clocked 9.1 million views in 24 hours. This milestone was crossed by the 'Maharshi' teaser in just 12 hours," a statement from the makers says.

In 24 hours, it clocked 12.6 million real time views.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film has Pooja Hegde as the heroine. Allari Naresh is playing Mahesh Babu's friend. Dil Raju, PVP and Ashwini Dutt are the producers.

It releases worldwide on May 9.
