Mahesh Babu calls him 'dear friend'

Wishing Trivikram Srinivas a happy birthday, Mahesh Babu has described the writer-director as a "dear friend".

"A very happy birthday to my dear friend #Trivikram. Wishing you the best of everything :)" he tweeted on Tuesday.

Their first film together, 'Athadu', has been one of the most popular films on television. Their second outing, 'Khaleja', may have been a BO flop, but this one too has its large chunks of fans on TV and digital platforms.

When Trivikram requested Mahesh to lend his voice for 'Jalsa', the actor readily agreed. Had 'Bharat Ane Nenu' been releasing this Sankranthi, it would have been a clash of titans (read Pawan & Mahesh), much as it would have been a clash of friends.
