Mahesh Babu has, in association with Centro Shopping Mall, donated Sports shoes to children at Burripalem and Siddhapur Schools on the occasion of Independence Day. As is known, Burripalem and Siddhapur are his two adopted villages. The actor has been carrying out philanthropic activities in these villages for years now. He is emotionally attached to school children, especially from underprivileged backgrounds, in these villages.

The superstar plays Rishi, a college student who goes on to do social good, in 'Maharshi'. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film will be shot in Goa, Hyderabad, Europe and the US in the coming months.
