Mahesh Babu's producer buys 'DJ' big-time

NV Prasad, the ace distributor-producer who shot to fame in early 2000s for distributing Megastar Chiranjeevi's movies, has laid his hands on the Ceded territory's distribution rights of 'Duvvada Jagannadham'.
It's learnt that Prasad has shelled out Rs. 12 Cr for this area's rights. He is counting on Allu Arjun's market range in that region, as evidenced by the unexpected scale of Sarrainodu's success.
There would have been a clash of interests had 'Spyder', of which Prasad is one of the producers, been releasing close on the heels of 'DJ'. But now that the Mahesh Babu-starrer won't be coming before the third week of September, 'DJ' is set to be bigger on June 23rd.
