Mahesh Babus sister Manjula talks about depression & how she fought it

Launching her own website and YouTube channel on Monday, former actress and Mahesh Babu's elder sister Manjula Ghattamaneni has said that her channel will be "filled with expressions, emotions and entertainment." And it seems she is going to keep up her promise.

Putting out her first, introduction video, Manjula spoke about "the self-realization in life," sharing that she has meditated for 10,000 hours over the years. "There was a time when I was depressed in life and had hit the rock bottom. Are you thinking what kind of problems can the daughter of Krishna garu have? Let me share it with you. Having grown up watching my father's films, I had this strong desire to become an actress. However, his fans, audience and my family, out of their respect towards Krishna garu, didn't want me to dance around and romance heroes. I didn't know whether to feel happy about their 'concern' or sad that they were stopping me from realizing my dreams. I felt really sad," she begins saying.

Majula adds, "I didn't know how to come out of that sadness. One night, out of sheer frustration, I started crying. Without my knowing, I went into deep meditation. Slowly, I realized that I was not meant for the mainstream cinema. I got attracted to the meaningful cinema and 'Show' happened. After that film, I was filled with gratitude. Happiness is not a destination, it's a journey. That's what I learned after the film. Meditation gave me a new vision for life. I started working on self-development, family life, and personal relations. Spending time with my father, mother, daughter and husband, friends... Nourishing my relationships, character-building, spending time with my God, that's true success."

"I have started this website and YT channel to share strategies and tools of self-development. I am not perfect. I too am a learner," Manjula added.

The YT channel's name is 'Manjula Ghattamaneni'.
