Red hot updates on Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli’s ‘SSMB29’ - Bollywood heroine on board!

Deepika Padukone is among the biggest actresses in the country. An interesting fact about her is that she made her cinema debut with a South Indian film. Deepika entered the film industry with the Kannada film 'Aishwarya' starring popular actor Upendra in 2006.

In 2007, Deepika set foot in Bollywood and never starred in any south films except Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiiyaan'. Currently, she is starring in south director Nag Ashwin's upcoming Pan-Indian film 'Project K' alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan.

Now, the latest reports suggest that the actress is in talks to play the female lead in another Pan-Indian project by a South filmmaker. Deepika Padukone is likely to be the leading lady in legendary director SS Rajamouli's next magnum opus project with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. The film is tentatively called 'SSMB29'.

Deepika is yet to sign the dotted lines with the makers and an official nod is awaited. Meanwhile, we broke to you earlier this week that the 'SSMB29' makers are in negotiation with the Ponniyin Selvan actor Karthi to play a mighty role. Touted to be an adventure film, it is said to be based on a real incident. The shooting is expected to start in early 2023.
