Mahesh caught evading tax, bank accounts attached

Mahesh Babu has come under the radar of the Hyderabad GST commisionerate.
Going into the details, the 'Maharshi' actor has been caught for failing to pay service tax for the period of 2007-08 towards his services as a brand ambassador for a few brands.
The total due has been assessed to be Rs 18.5 lakh. Following due procedures, the commisionerate has attached the superstar's Axis and ICICI bank accounts to the tune of Rs 73.5 lakh. This includes both penalty and interest on the due amount.
The actor has been called as a king of brand endorsements by mass media.
