Many feared dead as flyover collapses

Many feared dead as the Majerhat Bridge in South Kolkata collapsed at 4.45 pm today (4/9/2018). It was the busy time of the day as schools and offices close and many buses and cars can be seen under the rubble. Before ten ambulances and other and fire engines could arrive the people in the area rushed to help those trapped.
Eye witnesses say that a number of motor bikes were crossing when the terrible collapse occurred without any warning. People have been asked to move away from the spot by the authorities amidst fear of the rest of the flyover also giving way under pressure and caving in.
