'Premalu' is a recent Malayalam rom-com starring Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles. The film was released on February 17 and became a huge blockbuster, grossing around 150 crores. It was dubbed in Telugu and Tamil and continued its success streak. 'Premalu' debuted on Disney+ Hotstar last week with a great response.

Bhavana Studios, which produced the film, announced an official sequel with a title look poster. This came as a complete surprise to the fans. Yes, they wrote, "The Biggest RomCom blockbuster ever in Malayalam Cinema will be back in 2025 ! Let's Premalu 2" (sic). 'Premalu 2' will be jointly produced by Bhavana Studios, Working Class Hero and Fahadh Faasil and Friends.

The second part will be released in 2025 with Red Giant Movies bagging the Tamil rights of the film. The first part's director Girish AD will be writing and directing 'Premalu 2' as well. Nalsen, Mamitha Baiju, Sangeeth Prathap, Syam Pushkaran and Akhila Bhargavan are expected to reprise their roles in the movie with Vishnu Vijay returning to score music.
