Yet another movie to release directly on OTT

After ‘Sufiyum Sujathayum’ and ‘C U Soon’, yet another Malayalam film is gearing up for a direct OTT release. Indrajith Sukumaran, Joju George, Grace Antony, Soubin Shahir and Sharafudheen starrer multi-starrer movie 'Halal Love Story' is prepping up to release on Amazon Prime. Officially announced by Amazon Prime on their social media handle, the movie will premiere on October 15.
Halal Love Story is directed by Zakariya Mohammed, of Sudani from Nigeria fame, the movie is touted to be a comedy-drama. Produced by Aashiq Abu, Harshad Ali and Jesna Ashim under the banner Papaya Films, the movie revolves around a group of passionate filmmakers who come together to create a film that follows religious guidelines in every phase of the filmmaking.
The technical crew includes Ajay Menon for cinematography and Saiju Sreedharan for editing. Music is by Bijibal and Shahabas Aman. Halal Love Story is bankrolled by Aashiq Abu, Jesna Ashim and Harshad Ali. Touted to be a comedy entertainer with some political dialogues included, 'Halal Love Story' was initially slated to hit the big screens on March 27, as a Vishu release. However, it was postponed, owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
