Malayalam movie Jallikattu misses Oscars nomination

India's official entry to the Oscars, the critically-acclaimed Malayalam film 'Jallikattu', has not made it to the 93rd Academy Awards 2021's nominations in the International Film Feature category. Fifteen titles have been shortlisted and the Indian movie is not one among them.

From March 5-9, the first phase of voting will be held. The fifteen titles will be scrutinized and the last set of nominations will be finalized. The final list of nominations will come out on March 15.

The Oscars event is scheduled to take place on April 25.

Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, 'Jallikattu' featured Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sabumon Abdusamad, and Santhy Balachandran.
