A tragic incident unfolded in the suburbs of Malaysia's capital as a private jet crashed onto a highway, claiming the lives of at least 10 people. The harrowing event, captured in dramatic videos shared on social media, left a devastating aftermath that included the loss of all eight passengers aboard the jet and two motorists on the ground. The videos depicted a sudden fireball explosion upon impact, followed by billowing black smoke and scattered wreckage.

The ill-fated flight had been en route from Langkawi, a popular resort island, to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city. The aircraft, identified as a Beechcraft Model 390 (Premiere 1), was carrying six passengers accompanied by two flight crew members. Tragically, the plane lost control and collided with a car and a motorcycle on the highway, leading to the tragic deaths of both the occupants of the jet and the drivers of the vehicles struck.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), the plane's interaction with the Subang Air Traffic Control Tower occurred at 2:47 pm local time, with landing clearance granted at 2:48 pm. Smoke was observed rising from the crash site at 2:51 pm, yet no distress call was made by the aircraft.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke conveyed that investigations into the incident were ongoing. He further mentioned that the bodies were taken to a hospital for identification, and authorities were diligently searching for the airplane's black box to ascertain the root cause of the tragedy.

The aircraft was operated by Malaysian private jet company, Jet Valet Sdn Bhd. As Malaysia mourns the loss of lives in this aviation disaster, the nation awaits answers and a comprehensive understanding of the circumstances that led to this heart-wrenching incident.
