Director Seenu Ramasamy's Maamanithan shooting had been completed before an year but the film's release had been getting delayed due to the pandemic situation and various other issues around the movie.

Starring Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie in lead roles, Mamanithan is produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja and K Productions. Recently it was said that the title of the movie was in trouble as another person had registered it and now Seenu Ramasamy has made an update on this issue.

Seenu Ramasamy tweeted that Yuvan Shankar Raja has now acquired the title rights from producer Jayaseelan who had previously registered the title. Following the title rights acquisition, the first look and songs of Mamanithan will be released soon, added Seenu Ramasamy.
