'Mambattiyan' makes Prashanth happy

Prashanth is all smiles when he speaks about his recent release 'Mambattiyan.' This film that showcases the happenings in the life of a forest brigand has received good response at the box office thanks to the support from the audience all over Tamil Nadu and abroad, says the gratified actor.

The film opened big Friday last. Prashanth also revealed that the response from movie buffs is very encouraging. ‘Mambattiyan’ has been declared a hit according to the lead star, and he is happy that the team’s hard work is paying rich rewards.

Produced and directed by Prashanth's father Thiyagarajan, 'Mambattiyan' is a remake of yesteryear hit 'Malaiyur Mambattiyan', which had Thiyagarajan playing the lead role.

Now, the father-son duo is planning to start a fresh project. They will soon be putting their heads together for a new venture, which is touted to hit the floors soon. An announcement will be made at the earliest regarding this, reveal sources in the industry.
