Actress Mamita Baiju, who is playing a key role in Jananayagan alongside Thalapathy Vijay, has now been signed as the female lead in Dhanush’s upcoming Tamil film.

Dhanush, who recently wrapped up 'Idli Kadai' and 'Kubera', is currently working on a Hindi project. His next Tamil film, produced by Wales Films International, is set to be a high-budget action entertainer.

The film will be directed by Vignesh Raja, known for the hit film 'Por Thozhil', with pre-production work expected to start soon. The makers were keen on casting a popular young actress for the female lead, as the role is said to be just as significant as the hero’s.
