Mammootty is now the Russian Megastar; a new record!

Mammootty’s 2017 superhit film ‘Masterpiece’ helmed by Ajai Vasudev is all set to be dubbed in the Russian language, the first-ever Malayalam movie to achieve the rare feat. Announcing the big news, the movie's director Ajai Vasudev took to his social media handle to share a poster of the movie. Produced under the banner of Royal Cinemas owned by CH Muhammed, the makers have signed a deal with Four Season Creations for the Russian version. Set in the backdrop of campus, the crime thriller also stars Unni Mukundan, Lena, Gokul Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Mukesh, among others.
Though the movie opened to mixed responses during the release, the film faired well at the box-office. The film was later dubbed in Tamil as 'Sanakyan' and in Hindi as 'Ek Thaa Boss'.
Meanwhile, Ajai Vasudev's upcoming movie with Mammootty 'Kuberan' is set for release after the lockdown.
