Everyone knows actress Mamata Mohandas, but it is less known that she also received an award for a song, sung by her. For the movies, ‘Rakhi’ (NTR), 'Jagadam' (Ram), 'Shakardada Zindabad' (Chiranjeevi), Tulasi (Venkatesh), 'Homam' (JD & JagapathiBabu), she had lent her voice for a few songs.

She received the National Filmfare Award for her song in ‘Rakhi’ that goes on as,’Rakhi…Rakhi…Na Kawasaki’. Her latest is she is going to croon for ‘King’ starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Trisha. The movie is directed by Sreenu Vytla and produced by D. Sivaprasad on Kamakshi Kala movies.

Mamata was aloof from singing and had a keen focus on acting. For the sake of her affability with director Sreenu Vytla, she has agreed to become a songster once again. She has voiced a song in ‘King’, penned down by Ramajogaiah. The audio of this movie is planned to be released grandly on 23rd of this month at GMC stadium.
