A viral video shows a man who used a nearly 50-year-old permit to get into Disney World. In a TikTok video with more than 8 million views, Matthew Ables reported that he found a vintage pass to Disney's Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.

Ables informed his followers that he had neglected the late 1970s for 28 years. It was a family heirloom, although never used and with no expiration date.

Ables approaches the ticket desk in the TikTok video, unsure if the old pass would work. The $8 pass was good for one day at Magic Kingdom. The Walt Disney World theme park ticket today is $109 a day.

Ables got a yellow park permit when the ticket kiosk attendant crazily stamped the ticket booklet "void." Upon stepping in further, he noted that a Magic Kingdom ticket for 10 and older is $164 per ticket.

This pass was so rare, and the price at which it increased with time had theme park fans marveling. The pricing mechanism was different back then, where this 46-year-old called it "10 adventures in one," which showed that the rides had their own separate tickets in the packet. Social media discussions also included inflation and the park's growth, with comments on whether the pricing is fair.
