'Manal Kayiru 2' is the sequel to the 1982 classic comedy 'Manal Kayiru'. The film produced by Sri Thenandal Films banner and directed by Madhan Kumar of 'Yaaruda Mahesh' fame commenced its shooting on January 20,2016.

The first part was written and directed by Visu with S.Ve.Shekher and Shanthi Krishna in lead roles. Visu also played an important supporting character in the film which was a super hit.

In the sequel Shekher's son Ashwin Shekher is acting as the hero and Poorna is the female lead. S.Ve.Shekher and Visu are acting in the Kittu Mani and Naradar Naidu characters they played in the first part.
