Mani Ratnam to resume shoot with Aishwarya Rai?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will reportedly be in Hyderabad very soon for a schedule of 'Ponniyan Selvan-I'. The magnum opus, which is directed by Mani Ratnam, will commence a crucial schedule in the city soon.

Currently, the film is being shot in Puducherry. Lyca Productions is planning to wrap it up fast. And, after this, the Hyderabad schedule will begin on a vast set that has been erected already. Aishwarya Rai, who has previously worked with the genius filmmaker on 'Iddaru', 'Guru' and 'Raavan', will join the schedule along with the versatile actor Vikram.

Recently, the former world beauty shared a poster of the film and wrote, "The golden era comes to life." The film is based on a novel franchise written by Tamil writer Kalki Krishnamurthy.

The historical, whose first edition will hit the screens in 2022, features an ensemble cast. Also starring Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Rehman, 'Jagame Thandhiram' fame Aishwarya Lekshmi, 'Goodachari' fame Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, senior actor Sarath Kumar, the versatile Prakash Raj, Nasser and others, the film has the screenplay by Jeyamohan. Music and cinematography are by AR Rahman and Ravi Varman, respectively. If the production design is by Thota Tharani, its editing is by A Sreekar Prasad. The film is presented by Subaskaran. Madras Talkies, owned by Mani Ratnam, is also producing it.
