Dhanush has worked with many prominent young directors in Tamil Cinema and he is also a well-recgonised actor in Bollywood. For quite sometimes there were talks about the National award winning actor teaming up with one of India`s most respected directors Mani Ratnam.

Now the talks are getting close to certainty if sources close to Mani Ratnam`s Madras Talkies are to be believed. Mani Ratnam has reportedly met and spoke with Dhanush and the duo have planned to work in a film together.

Mani Ratnam will be penning the script for Dhanush and also complete work on his next Tamil-Telugu bilingual film with Nani and Nithya Menen in lead roles. The legendary filmmaker is expected to start the film with Dhanush after finishing this film so that Dhanush will also be free from his current commitments.

We will have to wait for an official confirmation and it is worth noting that Mani Ratnam`s immediate next film itself is yet to be officially announced.
