It's a known fact that director Maniratnam is next directing the mega historical Ponniyin Selvan, a multistarrer featuring Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, Aishwarya Lekshmi and many others. This movie is based on the classic novel of the same by Kalki Krishnamoorthy. Now, in a way, Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has got connected to Ponniyin Selvan.
