The actress is playing a slum dweller in her next film Oru Kuppa Kadhai` in which choreographer Dinesh debuts as the hero. In the film Manisha plays a village girl from Valparai who marries a Municpal garbage disposer and the couple live happily for some time in the slum before tragedy strikes.
Manisha accepted the deglamorized role because there was huge scope for performance and has shot for forty days in the Marina beach slums where she has reportedly made some friends. Oru Kuppa Kathai` is produced by Director Aslam and directed by his associate director in Kali Rangasami.
