Manju Warrier's 'Aami' starts rolling!

Ever since 'Aami' was announced, Malayali audiences have been waiting with bated breath for Manju Warrier's portrayal of writer-poetess Kamala Das in the movie. After a long delay, this upcoming Kamal directorial 'Aami', a biopic on the celebrated writer Kamala Das aka Kamala Surayya started rolling today at Guruvayoor. As the movie will be a huge challenge for the actress, we can't wait to see the first look of the movie.
Vidya Balan, the Bollywood actress was the initial choice for the role of Kamala Surayya in Aami, but the actress backed out from the project at the last minute, due to undisclosed reasons. Scripted by director Kamal himself, Aami also stars Prithviraj, Murali Gopy, and Anoop Menon, in the other key roles.
