Manju Warrier to play Shakuntala

Manju Warrier is all set to try her hand at theatre. The actress herself expressed her wish to act in a theatre production and has been roped in to play the epic role of Shakuntala in Kavalam Narayana Panikar's upcoming production. She will soon join the rehearsals at the nadakakalari at Trivandrum.The actress will start taking lessons in Sanskrit as the play will be rendered in the language. Kavalam says that retaining the play in Sanskrit will help in keeping intact the purity of the epic. Also, he says that learning the language is easy if some amount of effort is put in. He is all sure that Manju can pull off the role beautifully and says that she is an actor of caliber.
