Manju Warrier's mom makes her special debut

Mollywood superstar Manju Warrier’s mother Girija Madhavan made her debut performance in Kathakali. Girija, after training under noted Kathakali artist Kalanilayam Gopi for more than two years, debuted in the Kalyanasougandhikam Kathakali recital held at the Peruvanam Mahadeva temple as part of the famed Sivarathri celebrations. Seated along with the audience, Manju Warrier enjoyed her mom's mesmerizing performance in the role of Panchali.
Taking to her social media handle, Manju penned a heartfelt note for her mom for being an inspiration. “My SUPERSTAR proved it again! Thank you for always being an inspiration to all of us!!! For those of you who missed what's happening, my Amma got trained in Kathakali under Kalanilayam Gopi Aashan for the past two years and performed onstage with a group of most talented Kathakali artistes of Sarvathobhadram Kala Kendram! I'm so proud of you Amma! @madhavangirija ❤️” Manju Warrier wrote, sharing alongside a picture of her mom.
On the work front, Manju Warrier is prepping up for her Bollywood debut alongside actor Madhavan. Her first movie with Mammootty titled 'The Priest' was released on Thursday and has opened to positive responses.
