Decades separate Manoj Bajpayee and Anurag Kashyap in their pasts. But from 2000 to 2011 there was a big void in their cooperation. Putting some clarity on this break, Bajpayee recently told the Bollywood Bubble the fundamental causes.

"We didn't address a misunderstanding that existed," he said. It intensified on social media with time. We parted ways since I thought our artistic paths were different and Anurag might have thought I wasn't necessary for him at that time."

Their career began in 1998 when Ram Gopal Varma directed the renowned thriller "Satya," in which Bajpayee played the legendary Bhiku Mhatre and Kashyap wrote the screenplay. The next year they worked together again on "Shool". After these endeavors, though, they didn't work together again for more than ten years until Bajpayee played Sardar Khan in the critically acclaimed criminal drama "Gangs of Wasseypur" in 2012.

Since then, their paths have parted once more. Bajpayee is scheduled to participate in the May 24 release of Apoorv Singh Karki's action-packed drama "Bhaiyya Ji." Along with returning to his role in the third season of "The Family Man," he has parts in forthcoming movies including "Despatch" and "The Fable."

Conversely, Kashyap is getting ready to release his Cannes Film Festival-premiered crime drama "Kennedy." His most recent endeavor, which stars Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra among others, is keeping him busy right now.
