Manorama's son serious in hospital after trying alternative to liquor due to coronavirus lockdown

The late actress Manorama is still celebrated for her towering comedic and character role performances in over a thousand films in all languages. Her only son Bhupathy acted in a few films including 'Kalthoon' with Sivaji Ganesan but his career did not take off. Many reports in the past have come about Bhupathy's addiction to liquor that had caused many headaches and embarrassments to his multitalented mother.
Bhupathy has been admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Thousand Lights, Chennai after consuming an overdose of sleeping pills as an alternative to liquor which he could not get due to the coronavirus lockdown Bhupathi who is currently in the ICU has a wife Dhanalakshmi and daughter Meenakshi.
