Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar awaits the release of 'Toofan' (Hindi) on Amazon Prime on July 16. A week ahead of its OTT release, Netizens are trolling the actor.

In the late 2019 and early 2020s, the 'Rock On' actor hogged headlines when he lent his support to the anti-CAA protests. He showed solidarity with the protestors. At one point in time, the 'Sky Is Pink' actor was even accused of sharing a poster full of lies about the CAA. He was also trolled for allegedly sharing an inaccurate map of India on Twitter.

'Toofan', directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, also features Paresh Rawal and Mrunal Thakur. The hero is a national-level boxer in the film. Its music is by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Dub Sharma and Samuel–Akanksha.
