Coronavirus forces 'Master' release postponement?

Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' costarring Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most anticipated movies in South Indian cinema and the audio launch that happened on Sunday last has even upped the ante higher for the action thriller. Producers XB Film Creators and Seven Screen Studios had reportedly aimed at April 9th for a grand summer release.
Now that the Coronavirus threat has forced the shutdown of cinema halls and public entertainment hubs till March 31st the release of 'Master' has become a question mark now. Industry insiders are opining that a meeting between the producers and distributors have already taken place and the release has been pushed tentatively to May 20th. The official announcement on this one is expected any time now.
'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with musical score by Anirudh has the stellar cast of Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Andrea, Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das and Shantanu Bhagyayraj among others.
