Thalapathy Vijay fans who were largely disappointed with 2020 for not being conducive for the release of 'Master' however celebrated many of the film's achievements before it hitting the screens. The teaser of the film released on November 14th has hit a staggering 47 million views and 2.5 million likes.

Vijay's selfie taken at the Neyveli shooting location of 'Master' became the most retweeted one in the year 2020 in India. 'Master' also topped the list of most tweeted movie hashtag in India.

Now it has been announced that the Telugu version teaser of 'Master' will be released at 6pm on December 17th giving one more reason to Thalapathy Vijay fans to get into celebration mode. The film is presented by popular Tollywood producer B. A. Raju who announced the news on his Twitter page.

'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with a music score by Anirudh has Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi as the protagonist and the antagonist respectively with Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, and Arjun Das in the cast. The film is expected to release on Pongal 2021.
