Maths Professor caught on tape urging students to have sex for marks & money

In an unbelievable incident which has shocked the teaching fraternity in Tamil Nadu, a woman Maths Professor from Virudhunagar has been caught on tape urging four of her students to have sex with the management staff members of Madurai Kamaraj University so as to get very good marks besides getting lots of money.

Professor Nirmala Devi, a senior faculty, teaches maths at a private arts and engineering college in Aruppukkottai affiliated to the Madurai Kamaraj University.  She visits Madurai regularly to correct the answer-sheets of students appearing for exams.  It turns out that Nirmala Devi was told by higher officials of the University’s management to help them getting college girls as companions in bed in return of ‘awarding’ 85% marks to those students who would also be paid huge money in cash.

Nirmala chose four students, who hail from the economically deprived sections, and urged them to have ‘sex’ with senior management staff members at the ‘Varsity for which they would not only get 85% mark in their subjects but also huge money in cash. The girl students were shocked that their professor was suddenly talking like a pander. They refused the ‘offer’ but the professor spoke to them for long minutes in an apparent attempt to convince them.  One of the students recorded the phone-call.

They complained to the college management about the professor’s ‘offer’ after which the management conducted an internal inquiry and found Nirmala guilty.  Nirmala attempted to explain that her talk had been misunderstood but she was placed under suspension for 15 days.  During the recorded talk, Nirmala reportedly told the girls that she too had done ‘so’ in her younger days and no harm befell her.

The parents of the students of the college are now looking up to the Department of Education, Govt. of Tamil Nadu to step in and conduct a thorough inquiry to find out the culprits at the management level at the Madurai Kamaraj University.
