Christopher Nolan is making waves again after the success of Oppenheimer, which earned 13 Oscar nominations and won 7, including Best Picture and Best Director. His latest project is a film adaptation of the classic Greek epic The Odyssey, with Matt Damon playing Odysseus. The movie features a star-studded cast, including Zendaya, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron.

Filming is currently underway in Favignana, Italy, and on March 25, Matt Damon was spotted on set showcasing a fit physique. Images reveal Damon shirtless with visible abs and a gray beard, wearing tan pants while shooting a scene alongside Zendaya, who wore a flowing tan Grecian-style dress.

In an interview with GQ, Ben Affleck reflected on the physical demands of such roles, mentioning Damon’s intense stunt training for this project. "He’s doing a lot of rehearsals—it feels like going back to the Bourne Identity days," said Affleck, joking about how stunt teams now handle more of the action.

The Odyssey is set to be released on July 17, 2026.
