Matthew Perry's funeral featured an emotional moment that moved loved ones to tears when Peter Gabriel's 1986 single "Don't Give Up," featuring Kate Bush, played towards the service's end. The actor was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, California on November 3.

The cemetery stands opposite the Warner Bros Studios, where the beloved TV show "Friends" was filmed for a decade. The private service was attended by close friends and family, including his fellow "Friends" co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, and Courtney Cox. Perry's stepfather was also present during the solemn occasion.

Notably, Perry was buried alongside Hollywood luminaries such as Paul Walker from "Fast and Furious" and Carrie Fisher from "Star Wars." Forest Lawn Memorial Park is also the final resting place for renowned figures like Walt Disney, Stan Laurel of Laurel & Hardy, Debbie Reynolds (Fisher's mother), Bette Davis, Willie Garson from "Sex And The City," Lee Van Cleef from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," and Anne Heche from "Psycho."

While the cemetery is not exclusively reserved for famous personalities, it predominantly houses late actors, musicians, and other notable figures. This prestigious burial ground comes at a considerable cost, reported to be around $6,800, as revealed by Fox in 2019.

According to insider reports, the poignant lyrics of Peter Gabriel's song deeply touched the mourners' hearts during the service. The emotional moment elicited tears and laughter as close friends and family shared their memories. The poignant lyrics of the song include lines such as, "Don't give up, 'Cause you have friends, Don't give up, You're not the only one, Don't give up, No reason to be ashamed, Don't give up, You still have us."
