Mayavi continues to rule

Mammootty's Mayavi even after sixty days in release centres, still rules the box office. The film faced negligible competition from the other movies which came after it in the last few weeks.
1. Mayavi - The Mammootty film directed by Shafi is the first real blockbuster of the year. It has collected over 11 crores form the first fifty days make a distributor share of more than six crores from these days. The film will continue in the prime slot for another ten days, till the arrival of Vishu biggies.
2. The Speed Track - The Dileep film is surprisingly getting its due at the box office with good initials. The debutant director, Jayasurya, is getting all the appreciations for such a sporty film. He is definitely proving to be a promise to Malayalam commercial cinema.
3. Detective - Another debutant director, Jithu Joseph, also created headlines with his suspenseful film. Detective gives a hit to actor Suresh Gopi.
4. Paayum Puli - Another director Mohan Kuplery, who delivered the hit for Mani. The film with a number of fights, skinny dances and punch dialogues satisfy an average Mani fan. The film will definitely become a break even.
5. Inspector Garud - The Dileep film has moved to major B centres, but the movie is going strong enough to prove as a hit in major release centres. The aggressive marketing by Milan Jaleel has helped the movie to maintain in the hit list of the director. The movie has aggregated around five crores in the first forty two days in the box office.
