Superstar Rajinikanth opens up about Mayilsamys last wish

Tamil cinema has lost one of its much valued entertainers and philonthropist Mayilsamy who passed away at 3.30 am on February 19th at the age of 57. Today the funeral procession started at around 9 am at his Virugambakkam residence and his last rites were conducted at the AVM Cemetry in Vadapalani.

Early this morning members of the film industry including Ilaya Thilagam Prabhu and Vemal along with the public paid tearful tributes to the mortal remains of Mayilsamy. Superstar Rajinikanth who was in Bengaluru to celebrate his brother Sathyanarayana on return rushed to Mayilsamy's house to pay his last respects. Speaking to the press Rajini stated that the passing away of actor Vivek in 2021 as well as Mayilsamy now is not only a loss to their family and friends but to the society as both are known for their social service. He added that it is by divine design that Mayilsamy an ardent Shivbhakt was taken to his heavenly abode on Shivratri after visiting the Kelambakkam Shivan Temple.

We had earlier reported that Mayilsamy, a few hours before his death, had told Drums Sivamani that his last wish is to bring Rajinikanth to the Kelambakkam Shivan Temple and conduct milk abhishek. The undisputed Superstar promised that he will make sure that his departed colleagues last wish will be fulfilled by him.
