The blistering sport of taming bulls has lived for quite a few millenniums. Unable to digest their traditional sport being branded as cruelty, the Tamils have unanimously stood against the apex court's verdict.

Even youngsters, who've never witnessed or experienced the event, are starting to hear their ancestral cry and engage in protests to fight this unjust decision. What's been an essential ingredient in aiding this concordant support has been the Kollwood industry's celebrities. The cinema brigade has noticed the amount of difference they make in fighting for a cause, when it witnessed thousands of people embarking on silent protests after actor Silambarasan's feverish video kept spiralling through the media. Their desperate love for their culture at one end, and the magic they possess to help impart something to their followers at the other, bolsters this unshaken support to ascending levels.

Prominent comedy actor, Mayilsamy also joins the protest at Chennai Marina with the students, while producer-cum-actor R.K. Suresh whose Studio 9 is popular for producing the hit movie Dharma Durai, has extended his support by joining the protesters in Alanganallur, Madurai. In their own way, they invoke incessant support for Jallikattu untiringly. Some, like music composer G.V. Prakash and director Pandiraj, decide to escalate it a notch further by actually participating in the intensive sport, while others like Khushboo Sundar and Radhika Sarathkumar fight it out at their official twitter handles.

Will this colossal support from the people of Tamil Nadu convey a strong message to the Centre? Will it even make a dent in what the Supreme Court has to say? We never know. But, we do know one thing. The protests will not stop until the people get what they want.
