MBA fraud arrested for duping women with false promises

Jahangir alias Karthik Reddy alias Kiran Reddy from Tamil Nadu has been arrested for allegedly duping gullible women and sexually exploiting them. Calling himself Karthik or Kiran, the accused used to trap women by posing himself as the son of an MLA.
To detail an instance, he befriended a woman online and asked her to meet him at a mall on Bengalurus' MG Road earlier this month. He tried to lure her by promising her roles in movies and a stint in modelling. He then took her to a hotel and raped her.
Jahangir would tell his targets that he owns a chain of hotels and a film production house. A woman from Punjab was about to fall into his trap when we caught him, the police have said.
Four cases have been registered against Jahangir in Bengaluru. Two more cases have been filed in Tamil Nadu.
