Meena finds Malluwood comfy

Meena has found solace in Malayalam. At a time when heroines from Malluwood are making hay in Tamil, Meena has managed to take a leap into Malayalam filmdom.

Once popular in Malayalam, Meena made a recent comeback with Mammootty's Karutha Pakshigal. She plays a cameo in the movie.

Now even before the movie could release, she has bagged a plump role in a Suresh Gopi starrer.

Meena plays Suresh Gopi's heroine in director Vinayan's Black Cat.

Says Meena, “I am happy to get good offers in Kannada and Malayalam. I am in no mad rush to accept movies. I choose them by merit.”

Meena nurses the same ambition that many of her contemporaries do. She wants to win the National Award for best actress one day.
