Meena opposite Mammootty

After Udayananu Tharam opposite Mohanlal, Meena is now back to play Mamootty's ladylove in director Kamal's new film Karutha Pakshikal. The movie is about the the ordeals of a poor Tamil migrant casual labourer in Kerala. Mammootty plays the role of Murugan, the Tamil labourer in the film. Mammootty is appearing in deglamourised outfits.

Interestingly Meena has ventured to do a mega-serial in a popular satellite channel in Tamil Nadu. She plays a pivotal role in the serial titled Lakshmi, which began on Monday.
