Mehreen Pirzada is all set to be seen in 'Jawaan', starring Sai Dharam Tej and directed by BVS Ravi. Ahead of the film's release on Dec 1, the actress talks about her role in the movie, what makes this movie special, and more.

BVS Ravi has said that you have a dominating character in the movie. Tell us about that.

I am playing a bubbly girl by name Bhargavi. She is a painter in the movie. I have always played a normal girl's role in my movies. But in 'Jawaan', I am more glamorous compared to my previous movies. That way, I am different.

How was it working with Sai Dharam Tej?

It was a great experience. He is a light-hearted, cool guy. We both have become good friends. I find it very easy to work with him.

Given that Tej is a terrific dancer, was it difficult for you to dance with him?

Unlike Tej, I hadn't done dancing before entering films. Even after turning into a heroine, I haven't danced much. But in the case of 'Jawaan', I have got some difficult dance moves. I have trained in dancing for this movie. You will see me dancing more from now.

Didn't you find it risky to team up with BVS Ravi, for whom this is only his second movie?

To tell you honestly, I don't even know the full script even after doing the movie. I signed up to do this movie a day after 'Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gadha' was released. It's Ravi garu's hard work that inspires confidence in him. I can say that 'Jawaan' will be a super hit.

Do you think this is going to be the best film of your career?

I can't say that. Every film that I have done is special to me in some respect or the other. They have all brought some kind of recognition to me or the other.

What are your Bollywood plans, having done 'Phillauri' already?

I have no such plans as of now. I am not thinking of using regional cinema as a springboard for Bollywood. Telugu cinema will always be special to me. I am proud to be associated with this industry. For that matter, I don't differentiate between industries. Cinema is what counts for me.

What are your upcoming projects?

Recently, I was signed up to do Gopichand garu's 25th movie. It will be directed by Chakri.
