Even as his son is all set to make a debut, Srikanth is doing an intense film titled as Mental Police, which is directed by Karanam Babjee.

Speaking on the occasion, Srikanth said, "This is the most powerful character I'm playing since Khadgam and Operation Duryodhana. The director wrote this script keeping especially me in mind. The producers haven't compromised anywhere on the cost. Sai Karthik has given a very good music and background music."

He also added that he felt the film will be a big hit as soon as he heard the story. "This one is a dialogue-oriented film. I didn't want to interfere in the making, lest it affect the debutante director's creativity."

The director said, "I thank the producers and Srikanth garu for keeping faith in me despite me being a debutante. When Tamil actors walk away with honours/awards, I think why don't our actors, who are equally talented, win awards."

VVSNV Prasad Dasari and VV Durga Prasad are debuting as producers. For Sai Karthik, this is the fourth film with Srikanth.

Aksha, Suhasini, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Brahmanandam, Sapthagiri, Shakalaka Shankar, Mumaith Khan, Ajoy Ghosh, Chalapathi Rao, Posani Krishna Murali, Jeeva, Uttej, Prabhas Sreenu, Giri Babu and others are part of the cast.
