Thala Ajith was seen on screen earlier this year in director Siva's rural emotional entertainer Viswasam, also starring lady superstar Nayanthara and Anikha Surendran and was produced by Sathyajyothi films.

The movie had music by D Imman and among his songs for the movie, Kannana kanne sung by Sid Sriram, Vaane and Adichi thooku became chartbusters. Now, Tamilnadu minister Mafa Pandiarajan has praised a song in Viswasam.

In a recent event, Mafa Pandiarajan spoke High about the Kannana kanne song from Viswasam and appreciated lyricist, poet Thamarai for using rarely and unused old Tamil words like "Ponnana Kaiyal neevavaa", and for regularly bringing old Tamil words like Kalabakadhala, Vaseegara in her lyrics.
