'Mission Mangal' (Hindi), is based on the inspiring ISRO mission to Mars. Telling the story of how Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) and Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan) painstakingly cobble up a team of perceptive, determined and highly-talented scientists to send a satellite to Mars at a low cost in their very first attempt, the film delves into the personal lives of its main characters as well.

Directed by Jagan Shakti, this one is expected to take huge openings when it releases on August 15. Now that 'Saaho' has been postponed, the Day 1 figure could be as high as Rs 25 Cr (nett collections). John Abraham's 'Batla House', which is also based on a true story, is also releasing on the same date.
